1. Chicago Women’s Caucus for Art (CWCA)

Reception: Wednesday, June 8 from 7-9 pm.
“CONNECTIONS” ART EXHIBIT dates: June 8-July 15,2016
Historic Mayslake Peabody Estate, 1717 W. 31st St. , Oak Brook, IL
Come celebrate our connections with us and see our art. Light refreshments will be served.
“CONNECTIONS” is a themed exhibition for and curated by current CWCA members.
Each exhibiting CWCA artist has invited (connected to) a non-CWCA artist to exhibit in “CONNECTIONS”.
All artists addressed the theme, CONNECTIONS in their exhibited art.
The Women’s Caucus for Art (WCA), founded in 1972 in connection with the College
Art Association (CAA), is a national member organization unique in its multidisciplinary, multicultural membership of artists, art historians, students, educators and museum professionals.
Chicago Women’s Caucus for Art (CWCA), the WCA Chicago chapter established in 1973 is committed to supporting women in the arts.

2.Water Street Studios GalleryStars & Stripes Opening Reception

An exhibition inspired by the American flag.
The exhibition is part of a city-wide celebration of Flag Day and its founder, Batavia resident, Bernard Cigrand.

3.Lake Geneva Paint-In

LOCATION: Downtown Lake Geneva
June 11-12 ,2016 Saturday Sunday
TIME: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
EVENT DETAILS
Stroll the beautiful streets of downtown Lake Geneva during the annual Lake Geneva Paint-In to meet with local artists and purchase one-of-a-kind pieces. The streets will be lined with quaint umbrellas — under which you will find talented local artists painting, drawing, and creating unique artworks. Find great gifts, create a wall gallery, or find that special piece to add to your collection, all while supporting local artists!

4.ART EXHIBITS Fortissimo/ Pianissimo ff/pp

Naperville Art League and Burning Bush Gallery in Wheaton have teamed up for a themed show. The Burning Bush Gallery theme will be fortissimo: a musical term indicating that the piece should be played very loud. The Naperville Art League theme will be pianissimo: a musical term indicating that the piece is to be played very softly.

6.”4th Friday” at The Starline Open Studio!

June 24th from 6- 9pm.

“4th Fridays” rocks the world of art events with our juried mixed art exhibit, juried photo contest, featured artist solo exhibit, vendor artists in the lower level, open Starline artist studios, People’s Choice voting, live music on all 3 levels and a cash bar for beer, wine and mixed drinks. This must-attend event brings in between 700 and 1000 art enthusiasts each month traveling from as far away as Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison.

2016 “4th Fridays” at The Starline

Event Calendar All “4th Fridays” events start at 6pm and end at 9pm. The line may start early but the event doors do not open until 6:00. June 24 July 22
